- Southern Palm (1978) Co., Ltd.
It was established in 1979 with an initial registered capital of 100 million Baht. Its main business activity is the manufacturing of crude palm oil. Today, the company plays a leadership role in crude palm oil manufacturing business. The palm oil factory is capable of maintaining a throughout capacity of 45 tons of Fresh Fruit Brunch (FFB) per hour. These FFB are supplied from the Group’s own plantation and from other plantations in the surrounding area.
- P.T. Plantation Co., Ltd. The Group wholly owns oil palm plantations with a combined planted areas of more than 20,000 rais (8,000 acres or 3,200 hectares) in Suratthani province. These plantations are cultivated by hundreds of workers. Most of the plantations are equipped with an advanced dip irrigation system, and the plantations are regularly pruned and fertilized.
In 1990, the company started co-operation with the Agricultural Promotion Department and through a policy of selling good seeding and giving buy-back guarantees to small holder. Moreover, the area of palm oil plantations has increased to about 100,000 rais (40,000 acres or 16,000 hectares) in Chumporn province. Those palm trees are now giving fruits and thus it was necessary for the company to expand its processing capacity.
- Southern Palm Oil Industry (1993) Co., Ltd. This company, which was created to develop a new factory with a throughout of 90 ton FFB/hour, is located in Suratthani province.
